I did a trivial experiment with my Samsung S7 Edge using its NFC (Near-Field Communication) feature.
I tried the phone to communicate with the Beep Card that i used when commuting the MRT and LRT trains in Metro Manila.
Bingo! The Beep Card opens the WeChat app on my phone. Check my video post on my FB page.
As we know, WeChat is the only social network that is allowed in China. I could not explain why the Beep Card opens the app on the phone when the two are connected through the NFC.
This needs further study or an explanation from people who are more knowledgeable on this.
