A very tired Twin Beech spotted in the Planes of Fame Museum boneyard. Known as the “Twin Beech”, over 9,000 of these aircraft were built between 1937 and 1970, making it one of the world’s most widely used light aircraft. In the early 1950’s the U.S. Navy had many of its surviving Expeditors remanufactured, resulting in the JRB-6, the SNB-5, and SNB-5P. In 1962 all surviving USN SNB-5s were redesignated TC-45J. The USN retired its last UC-45J in 1972.
