First flown in 1960, the Baron was Beechcraft’s answer to competition in the twin-engine general aviation market. The intent was to make a true twin-engined variant of the Bonanza.  The A55 was built 1962 through 1963 with an MSRP of $58,950.  The Baron is still in production with over 6,800 delivered to date.
