I have only been in my house 8 months and things are coming on slowly. The latest thing being decorating the children’s bedrooms. Izebella is still with me, but now that I have decorated what will be both the girls bedroom: I am hoping to put her in with Jordanna very soon.
Quite surprisingly Aldi has some very inexpensive items which are fab for kids bedrooms and of course being Aldi means it’s not going to break the bank.
Having two girls together means lots of stuff. Lots of clothes and dresses along with heaps of toys. The main problem I have is that I don’t have many places to put them and so majority end up all over the place.
Jordanna has a divan bed which has storage underneath. It’s great for toys but the problem is that everything gets shoved in there and then she can’t find anything.
Plus it looks a mess when it’s open!
Aldi have a solution to the toy storage issue in the form of a handy drawer storage tower.
They come in two sizes. I have the larger one as shown in the photograph. I think they come in different colours too but it really depends what each store has available.
The small one is £4.99 and large one £12.99.
They don’t take up much floor space and the drawers seem to hold quite a lot.
I am now using two for Jordanna for all her dolls and bits and one for Izebellas toys. The unit slots together with plastic parts so I’m thinking you could make it taller by buying another and slotting all the parts together. I should add tho that they do come ready assembled which always helps.
Now Jordanna can use her under bed storage for her soft toys and bigger items making it look so much better and de cluttered.
Also from Aldi is these beautiful Chindi rugs
The rugs cost just £6.99 and in a selection of colours. They add a little style to a boring bedroom carpet.
Could also be perfect for covering up carpet stains, although luckily none yet. I think they have a touch of the orient with their distinctive colours and tassels.
Unlike carpets rugs can usually be washed down and wiped so are good for arts and crafts and especially considering how much they cost compared to carpets. Or if like little Izebella you feel a little tired you could always fall asleep on it.
We also have a Snuggle cushion in the shape of a fluffy duck.
. These cushions are lovely and soft and come in a choice of 4 fun animal friends. They are just £3.99 each and make perfect cuddly bedtime friends. As well as the items above. Aldi is also selling kids duvet sets, alarm clocks and story books. All at low cost. I used to think Aldi was just about food but there is so much more to be found.
Products differ from store to store depending on availability.
