The Bede BD-5 Micro is a series of small, single-seat homebuilt aircraft created in the late 1960s by US aircraft designer Jim Bede and introduced to the market primarily in kit form in the early 1970s, with over 5,000 kits sold.  However, few of the kit versions were actually completed due to the company’s bankruptcy in the mid-1970s.  Seth Anderson was a NASA aerodynamicist who built this BD-5 with several unique changes, most noticeably the use a small turbine as a powerplant and having a custom wing design.  Less than twenty Bede aircraft are currently registered in the U.S.  Nikon D500 w/18-200mm.
