While the mattress is really good at telling you about the internal construction, it’s not that great at the material details, other than letting you know it is made from vinyl. The best and most durable mattresses are made from PVC that is at least 0.4 mm thick. Without knowing what the mattress is made of, it is impossible to tell how it will hold up long term.
The Chinese construction quality could use some work. Although this holds its air well enough from evening to evening, the seams do tend to leak quite a bit. You will need to top the air off on this bed several times a week to maintain adequate pressure. It’s not one of the air mattresses that is easily able to compete with traditional mattresses for daily use.
The quality control also seems to be inconsistent with these mattresses. Many repeat customers are very happy with the mattress overall, but report that each purchase yielded different sleep and quality results. Some of them have leaking air issues, others have an over inflated center that negates the edge support, and still others have a recessed center with pronounced edges.
Buying Advice
