After falling in love with the picturesque island of Santorini during a holiday, today’s couple decided to tie the knot at the beautiful island! For the wedding decoration, pastel colours, such as pink, coral, rose and white, were mainly used, while gorgeous flower arrangements were the main decorative items! We loved the pastel flower garland above the church’s door, so romantic and harmonious! The bride wore a romantic wedding dress with long sleeves and a lace top and a beautiful flower wreath on her head, the perfect look for an island wedding! The bride shared with us: “We met 11 years ago in a bar. He knew from social media that I would be there and came to meet me. From that day on we were arranging and meeting each other regularly. I come from a big Greek family with 4 brothers and 4 sisters and he was a singleton from a German family – but we learned from each other and it fit perfectly. He proposed on New Year’s Eve 2018/19. We had a beautiful and romantic stay at a spa hotel with a great view over the Lake Geneva. We stood at out private balcony to watch the firework and a few minutes after midnight he fall on his knees and propose. I said yes and we were very happy. In the same night we started planning our wedding”.
“The designer of my wedding dress was Katie Sue. I bought it in Germany at LaDonna Hochzeitsatelier. We needed to make some changes until it was finally the perfect wedding dress for me that I was dreaming of”.
“The colors used for the decoration were pale pink, coral, white and rose. The church decoration consisted of a beautiful flower garland above the front door of the church. We had in the church candles surrounded with flowers on metallic stands and small flower bouquets around the chairs. Our wedding table in the restaurant had also wonderful flower bouquets combined with an amazing view to the sea.”
“For my bridal bouquet I chose garden roses, standard roses and baby`s breath. It was very beautiful and my sisters worn corsages of flowers, I worn a flower wreath with the same roses.”
“The ceremony took place at Anastasi Church in Imerovigli, Santorini in August. We went to Santorini once before for the first time and we both fall in love with the island.”
“The best moment of our wedding was when we went out of the church and the family was awaiting us to congratulate and chink glasses. We had an amazing view from our church.”
