Decisions....decisions....decisions....that's what weddings are made of. What kind of cake? What shape will the tables be? Do you want milk chocolate or dark for the favors? So it should really be of no surprise that choosing your wedding dress would have it's decisions as well.
Earlier we talked about the many types of necklines but now there is the matter of the choice of bodice types. There are six to choose... doing magical things with our bust lines and waists.
Basque Waistline: This is the most popular amongst brides. The bodice is long and tight fitted dropping to a "V" shape in the front where the dress flows outward. Here is a beautiful dress from David Tutera www.davidtuteraformoncheri.com.
Ball Gown Waistline: Another popular cut is the ball gown style. Much like the Basque in that it is form fitting and drop to a flowing bottom but instead of the V shape it cuts straight across. Available on www.JLMCouture.com
Empire Waistline: While not as popular but it is equally attractive. The bodice cuts right under the bust line and flows outward giving a very flowing elegant look. www.Kadoodle.com showcases this classic example. Princess Waistline: The making of a fairytale dress starts with the princess waistline. It doesn't accentuate the waist but more the flaring of the bottom of the dress. www.promwedress.blogspot.com Natural Waistline: Just as it sounds. The bodice follows the body of the dress. Great dress for a great figure. Finally, the Dropped Waistline- great style for those who are short waisted. The waist line falls much lowers than the average wedding gown. www.yesmybride.com So there you have another factor of the styles of wedding dresses.
