We are sharing today a beautiful destination wedding that took place in the Athenian Riviera! Paige and Alex chose to have a non-denominational ceremony at a beautiful location next to a lake, surrounded by greenery. Green, white and pink were the main colours used for the romantic garden style decoration. We really like the arch that was decorated with beautiful flowers and pink fabric. The bride shared with us: “We met during our lunch break at a Chipotle as we worked on the same street. He approached me while we were waiting in line to order. Alex had just moved to the US and I was born and raised here, so I offered to show him around”.

“Alex proposed in California because he knows it is my favorite place! After a day of drinking wine in Napa Valley, he took me to a beautiful spot overlooking the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridge to propose”.

“My dress was by Pronovias and the style was called Drenoa. It was a mermaid dress with an illusion back, crystal tulle and lace”.

“We had a non-denominational ceremony at Lake Vouliagmeni. It was custom written for us by our officiant. We also had a legal ceremony at the courthouse in the US before the Greek wedding”.

“We wanted to get married in Greece because Alex grew up there and most of his family still lives there. My friends and family were also willing and excited to make the trip. We looked at lots of different venues, but none of them were quite right. Many were too business-oriented and fabricated beauty. We wanted a venue that captured Greece’s natural beauty. On our way to the airport to fly home, we made a last-minute decision to stop at Lake Vouliagmeni, an option we hadn’t considered. It was pouring rain, but the venue was decorated for a wedding that evening. It was so naturally beautiful, even in the rain, we knew this was the place for us!”

“Our decorations were kept fairly simple to maintain the venues natural beauty. We did have fairytale strings of lights hanging from the trees, a big LOVE letter sign, arch with flowers/fabric for the ceremony, lanterns, ambient lighting and votive candles”.

“The best moment of our wedding was our entrance to the reception. Alex rowed me in on a little wooden row boat while all of our guests stood along the shoreline cheering for us. No one expected it and it was so beautiful with the lake lit up at dusk”.
