From the bride: “We met in 2010 in Berlin during Berlin Fashion Week. Niko proposed during a trip to Paris very romantically on the balcony of our hotel room. We were with some wine on our balcony when Niko went down on his knee and popped the question. Afterwards, we celebrated our engagement in one of the most beautiful restaurants in Paris with a view of the Eiffel Tower”.

“The ceremony took place at the church Agios Nektarios in Vouliagmeni, Greece. It was always our dream to get married in Greece. So, we traveled around the country looking for the most beautiful spot that would suit us best. In the end, it was Nikos’ mother who informed us about the location. The minute we saw it, we knew that this was the place where we wanted to get married”.

“We wanted to keep the style very local, so we chose white peonies, Greek olive trees and eucalyptus. The main colours used for the decoration were white, green and gold. For my bouquet I picked white peonies”.

“I was wearing a couture gown from Pnina Tornai in a princess style. The dress had a long trail and had lots of glitter that sparkled in the sun. The top of the dress was a corsage with applied flowers that made it even more extravagant and breathtaking. The dress consisted of many tulle layers which made it easy to wear and to dance in it”.

“For the decoration we used candles, olive trees and flowers. We also hanged candles on the ceiling of the entrance. Luckily, the location already was beautiful with a view to the cliff and a pool, so we didn’t really need lots of decoration. I found all my inspiration on Pinterest and when I visited the country”.

“There have been just so many emotional and fabulous moments! If I had to pick one, I would say that it was our entrance dance. Originally the dance was planned as an “entrance song” but then spontaneously developed by us into a dance. The entrance dance was so emotional and very free flow that it became a special dynamic with lots of emotional vibes between Niko and me. This was so spontaneous and we will never forget it! Also, our guests still remember the song from Konstantinos Argiros – Pare Me Agkalia and seemed to like it a lot because everyone downloaded the song afterwards”.

Bride’s advice: “You don’t really need over a year to plan your wedding, but you should start early and be organized to have less stress. A timetable on the wedding day helps as well. We forwarded this to our wedding planner and best man and bridesmaids, so we didn’t have to work about anything on the day of our wedding”.
