«We knew each other for a long time since Elvinas was a roommate with my best friend but since I was living abroad, we never had a chance to hang out together for a long time. When we finally did, we both felt that we would like to try and build a relationship. We started meeting from time to time, it wasn’t easy because of 2 different countries. 5 months later we decided that if we wanted this to work out one of us would have to move and Elvinas decided to take this step. Few days before moving (it was New Years eve) Elvinas proposed and New Year brought us to a new chapter. », the bride shared with us.
«We knew that we wanted a very simple, classic wedding atmosphere and decorations. Since we chose Santorini the dress code for our guests was blue and except for that we wanted everything to be white. I didn’t have any specific wishes for the flowers in my bouquet, but I found a few examples and shared it with our wedding planner Maria. She was the one who actually picked the bouquet. I couldn’t be happier; it was just perfect for me. We were not too focused on decorations – we knew a few main details that we needed which were decoration on gazebo, table decorations, fairy lights in reception. And those were the highlights. We didn’t have a chance to actually look at it during our wedding day but when we looked at the pictures later, we both agreed it was exactly what we wanted. »
«The whole day flew by so fast. Of course, I was very stressed in the beginning until the ceremony and now it feels like I can barely remember that part of the day. I actually started enjoying it when we arrived at reception. That was probably the moment – I finally got a chance to hug and thank everyone, it was the point where I realized that we are husband and wife, that running is over and now we only must relax and enjoy. »
The bride’s advice: «Do not stress about the small details that you are not going to notice and remember later. There were so many things I thought we could have done differently, but the only thing wedding guests saw and cared about that day was the wedding couple. Everything else was only a background. »
«Just like everyone – I tried many different dresses before I found the one. I had a completely different picture of how my dress should look but as soon as I tried the one, I knew – this is how I want to look. I didn’t choose a dress from a magazine or pictures; it was very important how I feel in a dress. I didn’t doubt it for a second – it was my dress. »
