By Azanimals @azanimals
Large Blue Large Blue Butterflies are vitally important to numerous eco-systems both in the UK and all around the world as they feed on nectar and help to pollinate flowering plants as they move from one to another. They are incredibly delicate yet resilient animals that even hibernate throughout the colder winter months until the weather warms and they are then able to breed in the spring.

Britain is home to 59 different butterfly species that actually breed here along with being visited by a number of migrants on their journeys elsewhere including the elaborate Swallowtail Butterfly. British butterflies vary drastically in their size, color and wing patterns and are often easy to identify however, these ten species are among the most common and distinctive throughout the country.
