Gone are the days of when being fashionable at work was out of the question. With peplum skirts and messy buns in style, it’s now easier than ever to have a fashionable work wardrobe that you can actually wear out of the office!
Here is my list of key items you need in your wardrobe in order to be stylish while at work.
1.) A Simple Black Dress.
Since Peplums are so hot right now, I love this black peplum dress from Topshop sold here. You can never go wrong with black. And a simple black dress is a key item use as the base of a solid work wardrobe.
2.) A Versatile Handbag.
You can never go wrong with a satchel style bag, works as a brief case at work and purse in your off time. I love this Phillip Lim Satchel {here}, because of the shape, and the gorgeous color. Tiny pops of color help to keep you fashionable.
The use of accessories is also great way to keep your work clothes up to date without spending an entire pay check on a new wardrobe, as usual Forever 21 and H&M are my go to places for fast fashion finds at great prices.
3.) A Hot Pair of Nude Heels.
Unless you have been at your place of employment for a while, you have to be careful with looking too sexy at work. Nude is a great color to make a pair of heels look a bit more subdued, and they go with everything! I love these and these.
4.) A Comfortable Blazer.
It is Fall after all. Who doesn’t need a comfortable blazer? Blazers are great, because they can be worn with a pant suit or pencil skirt at work, and then look awesome with boyfriend jeans on the weekend. I am absolutely in love with this one from Tory Burch. Her Fall line is to die for.
5.) A Pink Lipstick.
You can never go wrong with making yourself feel better with a little bit of lipstick. I choose pink because there are a million shades of pink, so it will look good on any skin tone. Go to your local MAC counter for a consult, and never leave home without it! I am in love with MAC’s Viva Glam Lipstick in “Nicki”.
