Today's shoe is the pointy red patent leather "Fever" pump by Stuart Weitzman in 2008.
I just had the sudden urge to go out and buy a prom dress. I'm graduating in the class of 2012, so in less than a year it will finally be my turn to splurge on a beautiful gown I'll only need once. (Just a little off-topic fact: I desperately want to see the movie and squeal like a ten-year-old.) A few years ago my cousin got married and I was a bridesmaid. When his bride told me I had to show up at a dress store downtown for a fitting, I didn't know what it would be like.I remember typical glass doors with vintage velvet shoes in the windows. It looked tiny. Maybe the location wasn't that massive, but a saleswoman later revealed there were about twelve thousand dresses in there. I looked at my dad with the eyes of a little girl and he knew. We would be back.I tried on a huge pink layered gown, stood up in front of the mirror and felt like a princess. Maybe this sounds cheesy, but I felt so happy and smothered in the fancy material that I wasn't even the slightest bit miffed while I was being poked and prodded by a harried woman scribbling down my measurements. It was heavenly.Staying the topic of dresses, some new BCBG Max Azria runway dresses are available for pre-order. I can never tell you which one I prefer, because I want them all. Not that I'm obsessive, but I've been trying to be very open-minded lately on different styles I see everywhere. There is beauty in anybody's own style, and fashion is a great excuse. Therefore I hereby present to you the apparel fit for this weather. Thoughts? Comments? Are these too much of the same? Only you can decide.I've been meaning to ask this, but as you know I was pretty carried away these past few days. Can anyone tell me of a new/different/obscure designer? I always write about BCBG and Michael Kors. Yes, they're great, but I want to diversify a little. I'll start with Delikate Rayne soon. I didn't like what my teachers had to say today. (Do I ever?) This was worse because we still have so much being planned for us, crammed between now and June. And now my lovely school board thought it would be great to delay our summer by just a little more by extending the number of school days and ending the final exams later. I have two tests tomorrow.I need to keep it together for just a little longer... I know it will be worth it one day.XOXO,Nina
