ETH-based NFT series, Azuki experienced a 311% increase in sale volume in the last 24 hours.
As reported by CryptoSlam, around $703,760 exchanged hands between purchasers and sellers during the aforementioned period. Appealingly, Azuki wasn’t the only series included, as a Solana NFT series joined the party.
DeGods, the host of SOL series, registered a 334.84% increase in volume, worth $659,308. Apart from the astonishing accumulations of these NFTs, they could not match the volume of BAYC.
At the time of publication, CryptoSlam data showed that Bored Ape Yacht Club’s sales volume was $2.07 M, with a 34.82% increase.
The Punks
As Bored Ape Yacht Club remained leading the rankings, the same cannot be said of the Larva Labs studio-created serious, CryptoPunks.
The rise in Azuki and DeGods has caused CryptoPunks losing its place.
After several weeks being on the top, CryptoPunks currently ranks 8th in the NFT chart. Unluckily, the series only grossed $464,908 volume in sales, even though the number improved on August 24th.
The NFT market does not appear to be out of the bearish state with the ups and downs. For the ETH series’, the whole 24-hour shift was down 14.88%. Besides, 13,411 purchasers and 24,964 transactions have been in this chain.
Simultaneously, Solana series’ look to be in much more control with a 95.97% increase, worth $885,924. In addition, there have been 14,370 transactions through Solana NFTs, with 1,981 traders purchasing these assets.
$100 M exploit?
As the NFT market is still in a state of despair, a new report has recently pointed out exploits in the ecosystem. The report by Elliptic, the blockchain-enable compliance platform, provided details of the exploits which occurred over the past twelve months.
Regarding the details, more than $100 M of NFT were stolen between July 2021 and July 2022.
Elliptic noted that the Ronin bridge hack was one of the most damaging. Besides, the report noted that cryptopunks fell victim to one of the exploits when cryptopunk #4324 worth $490,000 was stolen in November 2021.
Bored Ape Yacht Club was not spared either as stolen NFTs of the series’ totaled $43.6 M. According to this announcement, social media seems to have been the most targeted.
Elliptic stated that social media platforms accounted for 23 percent of the exploits, with hacks originating from Discord servers. Going forward, investors can only hope that the hacks decrease and the NFT market favors the bulls.
