Update: Aug 27, 2020 (4:53 AM ET): New details about the Samsung Galaxy M51 have now become known and confirm its existence. In a teaser list on Amazon calling the device "the meanest monster of all time", we get a first look at the phone itself, if only at the front. As previously rumored, the phone will have a hole-hole display.
In addition, not much else is revealed by the teaser. However, further technical details were discovered in a Google Play Console list (via) MySmartPrice). The phone may have a Snapdragon 730 chipset, up to 8 GB of RAM and a display with a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080.
There's no word on an official launch date yet, but the listing suggests an upcoming debut for the mid-ranger.

We first got wind of the Galaxy M51 in March thanks to a number of leaked CAD-based renders, but these provided very little about the possible specs. Now, the latest rumors about the Galaxy M51 shed light on key figures, including a battery that could be the largest ever built into a Samsung smartphone.
How big is big How about a 7,000mAh battery.
That's a tiny bit less than the 7,040 mAh that the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 offers - yes, a tablet - and 2,500 mAh larger than the battery of the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The The report also suggests that the device has a 25W charge. This is very good to hear considering how long it would take to charge with a standard 10W charge.
In the past, numerous capacities were a hallmark of the Samsung Galaxy M series. For example, the Galaxy M31 uses a 6,000 mAh battery. Previous rumors of a Galaxy M41 also suggested the phone could have a 6,800 mAh cell. Nevertheless, 7,000 mAh is ambitious. This is to help users spend as little time away from the wall as possible, but at the expense of a larger, heavier device.
As with other internal specs, the Galaxy M51 could have 6GB / 8GB RAM variants with 128GB of storage in tow. Among the additional specs listed and supported by Ishan Agarwal is a quad camera array on the back that is featured by a 64 megapixel snapper. There is also a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera, a 5-megapixel portrait snapper and a 5-megapixel macro sensor. There's also a rumored 32MP punch-hole selfie camera in a 6.7-inch AMOLED display.
There's no word on the chipset Samsung may be using, but it is likely that the phone will use Qualcomm Snapdragon silicon like the Galaxy M40.
It's not yet clear when the Galaxy M51 will debut or how much the device will cost, but if you use the Galaxy M40 as a benchmark, you can expect it to start up slightly above Rs. 20,000 marks in India.
