Batman: Return on the Caped Crusaders

Batman and Robin chase the villains to places they never imagined in their quest to save the day from their evil plan.

Thoughts on Batman Return of the Caped Crusader

Characters – Batman and Robin are the unique team that have a father, son relationship. Which helps them work together in the fight against crime, they will always have the resources to escape any problems that come their way. Catwoman, Joker, Penguin and Riddler are one force now. They are planning to have their own prize if they can get their plan to work. Just the basics of the characters we know from the Adam West era of Batman shows.

StoryThe story follows four of Gotham most famous villains as the unite to take their evil plan out of this world. With only Batman and Robin to stop them. This is meant to be form of respect to the old school Adam West era of Batman. Cheesier than we are used to in the more modern serious take. Which just ends up making everything come off flat with how the story unfolds. We have too many of the famous villains that don’t get to hit the high notes of the characters.

Action/CrimeThe action is basic comic book material, it just never feels as strong as it should do, with the typical crime actions of the villains we know.

SettingsThe film uses the settings you would expect to see for the era we once knew, the over the top bases needed for the villains.

AnimationThe animation standard is strong through the film, it does feel like the same style of television, but it works for this film.

Scene of the Movie – Anti Gravity.

That Moment That Annoyed Me – Just too much that doesn’t click.

Final Thoughts This is a poor animated comic book film that just doesn’t hit the heights of the fellow ones we have seen more recently.

Overall: Bland.
