The first time I ever used bareMinerals was about 2 years ago at a blogger conference in NYC. I started off slow with the Stroke of Light concealer, but before I knew it my makeup bag was filled to the brim with bareMinerals products. Now even my skin care routine begins and ends with the Biolucent Treatment. So needless to say, when I was approached to try out their new Bareskin Pure Brightening Foundation, I was thrilled! bareMinerals Bareskin Foundation
I am all about a quick fix in the morning, so a serum, foundation, & SPF rolled into one is the perfect solution for my skin. I also love that the formula is oil free, as I am definitely prone to breakouts with heavier foundations. To start, I suggest taking off the cap and shaking the bottle with your finger over the nozzle. Not only will this help the foundation apply more evenly, but you won't lose any excess in the lid. I prefer to squeeze out a fair amount on the back of my hand and apply with the Perfecting Face Brush (*you can also add the foundation directly to the brush if your prefer).

When applying the foundation, I've found that using small circular motions across my face with the brush gives me the best coverage. For any blemishes or red spots that need a little extra camouflage, I simply put a small dot on my finger tip and applied where needed.

After applying the foundation, I really only needed some translucent powder to set it, a few swipes of mascara and a red lip before I was ready to head out the door! Total time? About 10 minutes.
