Barcelona Weekends Trip Tips – Getting Around Barcelona

Posted on the 18 July 2020 by Thiruvenkatam Chinnagounder @tipsclear

Barcelona is a city full of attractions. There is the beach, bar and architecture to drink from. The best way to get around Barcelona would be to join one of the bike tours that are conducted every day, every 5 minutes. It is healthy, ecological and involves refreshing drinks! But there are also other ways.

Public transport

There is also order in the confusing metro stations of Barcelona. There are a total of 11 lines, two of which operate on the ground, 6 on the subway and 3 on the tram. Ground trains are marked with R, underground trains are marked with an S and tram lines with a T. A single ticket can be valid for a certain number of trips.

Ticket prices range from 1.5 euros to 8 euros. You can also take trains for your trips to the airport. Either way, he may actually train less than taxis. The best part is that these tickets are integrated with the bus tickets. So you can make 10 trips with a single ticket, swapping with trains and buses. Great deal for a wonderful visit to Barcelona!

Bicycle

Bike tours dot the city's tourist attractions. They are for all ages, do not require any prior registration. This can be an excellent fill for the last minute cancellation of any plan. You can go around the city with an English-speaking guide and learn a lot more about the city than you could with your guide. The journey may seem exhausting, but in reality it will be quite pleasant. These bike tours last from 4 to 5 hours.

There are also midnight runs for those night owls and early morning runs for morning larks. You can also rent a bicycle and look around at your own pace. This is fantastic if you don't want to be rushed and just want to admire the beauty of the city on your own. Guided tours cost between 22 and 25 euros. There are concessions for students and younger children.

There are many intermittent breaks. You can enjoy coffee on the bridge under a famous monument. Or enjoy a cold beer in the slightly warm sun and the brushing breeze.

Taxi

Use it for short distance travel. Although taxis are moderately cheap, they can get very expensive. Taxi drivers only need one pretext or the other to fine with higher costs. So keep taxi travel limited to a couple of blocks and save your euros for better things.

You can stop taxis on the road or call reputable taxi services. Most of these services will have English speaking operators and drivers. When the language barrier breaks, things can become very simple! You can try Google Translate, but why take a risk!

At the end of the Barcelona weekend, all you know is that you are so exhausted (but mentally refreshed) that you just want to find a soft pillow and fall on it in a deep and relaxing sleep!
