Wer sein soziales Netzwerk nicht mit Werbung pflastert, muss den Nutzern auch nicht per Algorithmus vorschreiben, was sie angeblich interessieren soll. Bei Vero werden Beiträge von Freunden auch tatsächlich in der Reihenfolge angezeigt, in der sie gepostet wurden. Unter den Tisch soll hier im Gegensatz zu Instagram und Facebook nichts fallen. Wie bei Instagram stehen auch bei Vero Bilder und Grafiken im Vordergrund. Das Verfassen von reinen Textbeiträgen ist nicht möglich. Neben Fotos und Videos können bei Vero jedoch auch Beiträge zu Musik und Büchern verfasst werden.

Perhaps the app’s biggest differentiator from current social networks is that it sorts posts in reverse-chronological feed, not algorithmically. You can also browse posts from your connections by type or browse popular hashtags.

Der Versuch, die erkrankte Person bei ihren Leiden, Schmerzen oder Sorgen zu unterstützen, kann mit Gefühlen wie Frustration, Unzulänglichkeit oder Hilflosigkeit einhergehen und für die Unterstützer eine Belastung darstellen. Die betroffene Person nimmt eine solche Abwendung ihres sozialen Umfeldes wahr und zieht sich ebenfalls zurück. Zu berücksichtigen ist auch der zeitliche Aspekt, da bei chronischen Erkrankungen die vorhandene Belastung im Gegensatz zu akuten Krankheiten lang andauernd ist. Wie die betroffene Person mit ihrer Gesundheit bzw. Krankheit sowie ihrem sozialen Umfeld umgeht, ist ebenso abhängig von ihren Persönlichkeitsmerkmalen wie zum Beispiel soziale Kompetenzen oder persönliche Bewältigungsstrategien.[6]

Social media are computer-mediated technologies that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, career interests and other forms of expression via virtual communities and networks. The variety of stand-alone and built-in social media services currently available introduces challenges of definition; however, there are some common features:[1]

YouTube also improved students’ digital skills and provided opportunity for peer learning and problem solving[242] Eick et al. (2012) found that videos kept students’ attention, generated interest in the subject, and clarified course content.[243] Additionally, the students reported that the videos helped them recall information and visualize real world applications of course concepts.
