Verdict on Banger
Recap
The movie follows a washed-up DJ working with law enforcement to investigate a rival DJ’s criminal actions. However, it becomes a lot more difficult than he expected and he faces life choices he never thought of before.
Best Parts
This fits the concept of a civilian used to help tackle a criminal gang. It has a few laughs here and there without being too serious.
Worst Parts
This is purely down to taste, but the music isn’t going to be for everyone, all techno stuff. Elsewhere, the comedy doesn’t click as well as it could, even if it gets a few laughs. This doesn’t do anything new to the idea, and we could easily watch The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent and get a similar but far more entertaining story.
Final Thoughts –Banger is easy to watch but struggles for laughs.
