Bandits Release Abducted Ogun Islamic Clerics After Paying N2.2M Ransom

Two Islamic clerics who had been kidnapped at Ayetoro in Yewa-North Native Authorities Space of Ogun State by suspected bandits who ate of their home have regained freedom.

Tori reported earlier that Hussein AbdulJelil and his pal, Ilyas Muhammed Jamiu had been kidnapped round 10:00 pm on Saturday December 19.

They had been freed after the abductors who initially demanded a N15m ransom, accepted the N2.2m which was paid.

Elder brother to one of many victims, Hussein Ibrahim stated the Islamic clerics had been freed after the ransom was raised by household and buddies.

Ibrahim stated;



"They have been released today after we gave them N2.2 million as ransom.

"They initially insisted on N15 million saying they were two people, but in the end, they agreed to collect N2.2 million from us."
