New Politics

I found these guys when they were supporting Fall Out Boy last year and to be honest I had them down as a Frat-Rock band in the vein of 3Oh!3, which isn’t a criticism I love those guys and I don’t give a fuck.

Anyway, the reality of this band is that they are in fact from Denmark. However, my original assumption holds true as from pretty early on they were already living in New York which is where they spent a few years amassing a favourable reputation before releasing ridiculously huge breakthrough “Harlem”.

Chances are you’ve heard that track. I’m here to make sure you know there’s more to them than this and if you liked all-american rejects, third eye blind and indeed- 30h!3 then their oeuvre will have a welcomely familiar appeal to you. They remind me of a simpler time in music and in life, it didn’t always have to be so complicated.

Below is Harlem, a couple of their best tracks from their debut album and their new single “Tonight You’re Perfect”.
