Here at Fashion Visuals we aren’t afraid to admit that we have a bit of a sweet tooth! We are forever finding and testing delicious desserts and tasty recipes and feel it is about time we started sharing them with you all! Today we are going to walk you through a few simple steps towards making a batch of sinful Mars Bar Crunch cakes!
Mars Bar Crunch adds a chewy spin on the basic cornflake/rice crispy cake recipe and only takes around 20 minutes to make!
What you need:
- 40g margarine (softened)
- 40g milk chocolate
- 1 Mars Bar
- 2 tbsp Golden Syrup
- Rice Crispies (enough to coat)
- Cake cases
- Large pan
- Sharp knife
- Wooden spoon
Step One
Turn on your electric or gas stove to a medium-high heat
Step Two
Chop the Mars Bar into small chunks using a sharp knife
Step Three
Add all ingredients into the pan (minus the Rice Crispies) and place onto the stove to melt, stirring occasionally. If the mixture starts to bubble, turn down the heat on your stove.
Step Four
Once melted, take the pan off the stove and add the Rice Crispies in bit by bit ensuring they are all covered in the sticky, chocolate mixture.
Step Five
Spoon into your favorite cake cases and add any additional decorations such as chocolate curls or sprinkles.
Step Six
Place into the fridge to cool and harden for a couple of hours. Enjoy!
Variations
- Use dark or white chocolate instead of milk chocolate
- For a chewier texture simply add more syrup to the mixture
- Create Mars Bar Crunch squares by adding the mixture into a lined baking tray. Leave to set and cut into squares.
