Baking – I’m Back!

Ok, so remember my last post? Where I prophesied that 2014 was going to be cracker? Well at risk of calling it too soon, {I mean it’s only June} I think I was right. Late-night dial-in clairvoyants look out – I’m coming for your job!

With great gusto I set up the new blog layout and strapped myself in for 2014 – year of baking and blogging. Now I’ve achieved half of that statement.  I have indeed been baking, just not cakes, biscuits or tarts…but a brand-spanking new little human!

The hubby and I are beyond excited, and really pumped about this new chapter in our lives. Already the little ladybug has firmly cemented herself as the centre of attention, with the first three months sapping every scrap of energy my body had at its disposal. To say I was a zombie barely capable of dressing myself in the morning, let alone baking then blogging, is an understatement!

Just as I emerged out of the haze at 12 weeks, the hubby and I bought a house. Yep, I know, we’re crazy. Two of life’s big events simultaneously. The last three months have been a flurry of packing, moving, unpacking, installing a new oven in our retro 1960’s kitchen {insert squeal of delight here}, oh, and growing a new human.

And now it’s June.

Holy heck, it’s June.

JUNE PEOPLE!

Stand by for a delightful old school Jam Drop recipe…and when I say old school, I mean 1947.  So seriously old school.

So Baking – I’m back!*

*At least until the ladybug arrives!
