"FINAL DAYS...
With regret, we wish to inform our customers that our final day of business will be this Saturday (4/26/14). We have truly loved getting to know each and every one of you! THANK YOU for letting us be a part of your lives in helping you celebrate your special days, the birth of your children, your anniversaries, weddings, graduations, and the many ways that we celebrate life! We appreciate your continued support and wish you all the very best;).
Please come see us on or before Saturday to get your final fix!"
The store had only been open for 1.5 years and specialized in decadent flavor/name combinations and specialty diet cupcakes. The store was very attractive, with creative and professional window and interior displays, but it was off the beaten path in the Zona Rosa shopping center where it was based. I myself have reviewed it a couple of times for this blog, but unfortunately, more often than not found the cupcakes themselves disappointing and overpriced. They had also competed at this year's Sugar Rush, the premiere local sweets competition in February in Kansas City. Perhaps that was a last ditch effort to garner recognition that would bring in customers or maybe just a last hurrah.
Here are some of my favorite pictures from their FB page:
No reason for the closure was given. Seems the devil was in the details in the end...
