Story: Backwards Faces starts in the morning after Ken (Morra) and Sydney (Sickels) hook up. The morning doesn’t go smoothly, as they start to see big differences between each other. However, Ken claims that his bathroom holds a big secret.
Ken claims the bathroom can send him to a different dimension and time. While Sydney doesn’t believe him, it doesn’t take long before she finds herself in a complicated situation.
Verdict on Backwards Faces
Backwards Faces is a sci-fi comedy following two strangers who have a one-night stand. However, the morning after creates a problem neither of them is prepared for. They find themselves traveling through different dimensions meeting different versions of themselves.
This is a clever idea for a movie, using the concept of time travel and other dimensions like ‘Primer’ did. The movie offers up plenty of conversation about what you would do in the same situation. While keeping everything grounded in a way that makes you want to learn more about the different versions of the characters. The lead performances are great, with both stars needing to play different versions of their characters.
Final Thoughts –Backwards Faces puts an interesting conversation in your head.
