Before heading over the alps, we returned to our favorite area: Queenstown and Wanaka and the beautiful Mountain ranges around them.
In Queenstown we had a tiring but rewarding hike up to the Gondola, where you have an awesome view over Lake Wakatipu and the town. We watched the sun setting behind the hills and one street after another turning their lights on.
Lake Tekapo also welcomed us with sunshine and turquoise Glacier waters behind the Church of the Good Shepherd. This time without any hurry we enjoyed the beautiful landscape between lakes and mountains, Tekapo, Pukaki, Wanaka, the Mt Aspiring Road and all the amazing places along the way.
