After my happy under-water theme yesterday, I am back to fall colors in my latest abstract drawing. Instead of making distinct, separate lines in this one, I used the calligraphy pens more as brushes, overlaying one color on top of another to create bands of color. It ended up having a bit of a meadowy landscape feel, with a mix of lingering greens surrounded by yellow, brown, orange and lavender. At the end I used a fine point black pen to add interest, texture and highlighting.
