Verdict on Back in Action

Recap

The movie follows two spies who step away from that life to start a family. However, their cover is blown, forcing them to return and finish the job they started 15 years ago. However, they don’t know who to trust once people start appearing from their past.

Best Parts

The movie blends the struggling parents dealing with growing teenagers and an escaping spy life. If we compare it to a style of movie, it would be ‘My Spy’ which has action sprinkled with some humor. While it doesn’t recreate the concept, it delivers plenty of what is needed to make these movies entertaining. Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz work great together and it is great to see Diaz back in the action comedy world. A special shout out to Jamie Demetriou who steals every scene he is in.

Worst Parts

The weakness could be seen as being nothing too new. It doesn’t help that most of the support figures don’t get enough time to stand out.

Final ThoughtsBack in Action is a fun, entertaining action comedy.
