“Back from Fishing”; Sohano Island, Autonomous Region of Bougainville, PNG; December 2012
Less than 10 minutes after arrival at the Sohano Ocean View Apartments (see Scenic Sohano), I was invited to the dock by apartment owner Ralph Christen and then found myself and his two Australian colleagues on his boat doing a late afternoon cruise around the nearby reefs with the lines of these fishing rods dangling behind us. We did catch a mid-sized trevally and got home just in time to have the lucky fish for dinner. Welcome to paradise.
