Baby Corn Pepper Fry Recipe

Baby corns are the young corns that are harvested early when the ears are small and immature. They are very popular in Asian dishes and are used in stir fired dishes. It is low in fat, provides all the valuable nutrition and is rich in potassium and follic acid. Baby corn is low carb and high fiber also is ideal for weight loss.  like baby corns and dishes made from them.

Today’s dish is one of my favorite and can be eaten as a snack or a starter.

Prep time: 15 min
Cook time: 20 min
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • Baby Corn 15
  • All purpose flour 2 tbsp
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Soy sauce 1 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Garlic 5-6 cloves crushed
  • Curry leaves 1 spring
  • Green chilies 3-4
  • Oil to fry
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  • Mix corn flour, All purpose flour, salt and make a smooth batter.
  • Add soy sauce, crushed pepper and ginger garlic paste.
  • Cut the baby corn in pieces.
  • Dip the baby corn in the batter and deep fry in oil till golden brown in color.
  • Fry some chilies and curry leaves and crushed garlic with the baby corn to add more flavor.
