South Bronx emcee AX has been hanging around the NYC scene for nearly a decade, and while he received early support from Fat Joe and some nice national attention with shout-outs from Eminem (and getting a co-sign with none other than DJ Premier) his career never took off the way he hoped. After making a name for himself by going 7-0 in the legendary Fight Club rap battles before losing in the finals, AX took a break from the rap game before deciding to come back and once again share his skills with the world. And skills the dude definitely has – his new mixtape On My Way Out has the feel of the best that mainstream hip-hop had to offer in the late 1990′s and early 2000′s. Stream a couple tracks below and then download the mixtape and hear for yourself what all the hype is about.
