Ava Labs joined Amazon’s AWS Marketplace to increase the number of organizations that use Avalanche.
The company that made Avalanche, Ava Labs, said Wednesday that it will offer crypto infrastructure through Amazon Web Services (AWS) to encourage “enterprise, institutional, and government adoption of blockchain.”
Avalanche is a blockchain that supports NFTs, Web3 games, and its “Subnets” technology. “Subnets” are like specialized blockchains built on Avalanche, but they can have their own rulesets and use their own token instead of AVAX for network gas fees.
As part of its partnership with Amazon, Ava Labs will offer “Subnet deployment” through the AWS Marketplace. This will let companies and organizations set up custom Subnets on AWS.

Howard Wright, VP and Global Head of Startups at AWS, said, “At AWS, we are all about bringing the most cutting-edge technologies to builders, no matter if they sit in a multi-million-dollar enterprise, a government office, or a dorm. The new capabilities brought by Avalanche enable us to do just that.”
On AWS GovCloud, government data can be stored on Avalanche nodes. This means that government agencies with better data management laws can use Avalanche technology for projects in the public sector.
Emin Gün Sirer, founder and CEO of Ava Labs, said that being able to build up nodes and test networks on the go with AWS in whatever legal jurisdiction makes the most sense for them has been a huge benefit for both individual and enterprise developers. “I’m proud that we’ve implemented a protocol that can accommodate millions of participants with near-instant finality.”
Sirer went on, “Our work with Amazon can accelerate the positive impact of Avalanche.”
By joining AWS Activate and the AWS Partner Network, Ava Labs makes both Avalanche and AWS stronger (APN). Amazon’s website says that AWS Activate helps tech companies and that the APN offers “growth” tools and “financial resources.”
AWS will also go to Avalanche Summits, Creates, and hackathons, the release says.
