Avocadoria! No, no, no. I'm not casting a spell as those in the Wizarding World. Avocadoria is a dessert stall or heaven for sweet tooths and avocado lovers. They recently opened their branch at Ayala Vertis North last July 27th. Since I'm a north girl, I passed by the following day (earlier today).
So here's what I learned. Avocadoria has four offerings: Avocado Shake, Avocado Lover, Avocado Dream, and Avocado Cheesecake. I got to try two.
Avocado Lover (80z: PHP110 | 12oz - PHP125) is a layered dessert which consists of crushed graham crackers, sweetened tapioca pearls and avocado soft serve topped with almond bits, avocado bits, chia seeds and flax seeds.
I'm a fan of avocado and ice cream so I think that this is a great choice for first-timers. It's quite good and not too sweet. I also like the texture because of thanks to the almond bits, avocado bits, chia seeds and flax seeds.
What I don't like is the tapioca pearls. I don't think it belongs there. With the rise of more milk tea shops, we know very well that it can make or break the overall experience. The pearls should be chewy, not hard. In this case, it was indeed chewy but I still didn't enjoy its appearance.
The Avocado Dream (PHP90) and nope, this is not a dream. It is, in fact, an avocado or what's left of it filled with avocado ice cream and pastillas shaped like an avocado pit. This is actually very cool and fun to eat. It's simple but very delicious. I wouldn't mind eating the other half. 😉
So will I visit them again? If I'm craving for an avocado dessert, I would definitely. But with the abundance of dessert stalls/shops in the metro plus the weather, it might take a while. Oh, just a thought! There are other fruits that pair well with avocado. If they release a limited flavour, I'll visit them right away and probably get my hands on that beautiful Avocado Cheesecake. *I love cheesecakes!!!
