Autumn baby shower flowers

When one of your loved ones is expecting a new baby girl or boy, it can be exciting and somewhat scary for the expecting parents. It's also a time for family and friends to celebrate while also offering support in the form of gifts. Usually, when the mother-to-be is just a few weeks away from her due date, one of her friends or family members will plan a baby shower. This is an event that will be remembered, which means that it must be done just right.

Apart from the food, gifts, and guest list, there are also other important factors that need to be planned. One of which being the décor. The décor you choose often depends on whether the couple is expecting a boy or girl. If they are keeping it a surprise, there are also neutral colours. For those expecting twins - one boy and one girl - you can get very creative when it comes to the décor. Here are some baby shower flower décor tips:

  • Fresh flowers are excellent for interior and exterior décor. If you have any potted plants, you can place them on either side of your front door. If they are not in bloom but they are still green, you can add some artificial flowers or even balloons to the plant for some colour.
  • If you want to use flowers inside the home, you can place them just about anywhere except too close to your food. Autumn themed flower arrangements can be placed in between the dishes but these bouquets should only contain flowers that are not harmful.
  • You can also make a special flower headpiece for the mother-to-be. It's the perfect time to make her feel good about herself.
  • When choosing flowers, you can consider sunflowers paired with pink or blue flowers. For a neutral theme, you can stick to yellow and white flowers.
  • You can set several bouquets around the room. If you have place settings for everyone to enjoy a meal together, you can decorate each table with a beautiful bouquet to suit the theme.
  • If you would like to add a guest book, you can set aside a special space on a small table. Decorate this table with a modest bouquet to add colour.
