Today’s post is a long pending post, I have been thinking of doing a review for this one, but somehow it gets skipped every time..So today without delaying the post anymore, I am here with a quick review of Auravedic’s Ritual Skin Lightening Mask.
I received this mask along with the Ubtan Mask before Diwali last year for review purpose…though I did the ubtan’s review during the same week but I wanted to test this lightening mask a little more so I kept delaying it. Now the irony is that the mask has finished and I just have a few pictures which I took when I got it…So guys please cope with me..
What it claimsIt claims to lighten the skin complexion along with clearing up the dark spots and leaves the skin radiant and glowing.

Price and QuantityRs 200 for 50grm PackagingIt comes in a sturdy plastic tub with a lid and a screw cap.
Fragrance and textureIt has a very earthy and organic smell to it, but is overpowered with the fragrance of red sandal and saffron. And the texture is pretty thick and sticky.
My take on the productThough I wasn’t really looking for a skin lightening mask coz I am fine with my medium tone but I wanted to get rid of my tan so I used it quite regularly. So, after using it twice a week for almost 2 months, I can happily say that it’s another good product from Auravedic which does what it claims.
The +tives - It does lighten the complexion to an extent, but do not expect to go 2 tones lighter over night. Removes the stubborn tan and lightens the dark spots with regular usage. Leaves the skin radiant and smooth. It didn’t cause any breakouts nor did it dry out my skin.
The –tives are – I found it a bit too thick to apply. Leaves a yellowish tint upon washing off. I wish it didn’t come in a tub packaging or atleast it came with a spatula.
So, the key to maximize the effects of this mask is to mix in a few drops of milk or rose water while applying (it makes it easier to spread the mask) and use it at night so the yellow cast goes away till morning leaving your skin bright as ever!!
