Plot: Self-appointed Mother of the Year, Ronnie has given her daughter Audrey everything, so when Audrey selfishly falls into a coma, Ronnie has no choice but to keep their dreams alive by assuming her identity.

Story: Audrey starts when Ronnie (Van Beek) finds herself struggling to control her daughters, Audrey (Blazier) and Norah (Diviney). She wants Audrey to follow in her footsteps, but she has decided to step away from an acting future. To make matters worse, she is involved in an accident and is left in a coma.
Ronnie decides to use this opportunity to regain her youth by pretending to be her daughter. She auditions for the role in a play and tries to make the most of a new chance.
Verdict on Audrey
Recap
The movie follows a self-appointed mother of the year trying to keep her teenage daughter’s bright future alive. It sees her pretending to be her daughter in an acting class and learning more about what her children really want from her.
Best Parts
The movie uses the dysfunctional family idea nicely and shows the chaotic demands they all want in life. We get performances that fit perfectly for the characters too. The movie gets to point out the problems with certain overreactions that people don’t understand.
Worst Parts
The dysfunction can have comedy, but it can also be a bit too farfetched at times. It tries to offend with certain moments, which might rub people the wrong way.
Final Thoughts –Audrey doesn’t hold back on getting laughs in some of the more sensitive subjects.
