My Thoughts
It has been a while since I listened to an Audiobook, and I hate to say it, but The Makeup Girl by Eddy Twice shouldn’t have been the one to get back into. Daniel Rosenberg and Bonnie Walsh were the narrators in this book, and I have to say they just sounded like they didn’t want to be reading it. Their voices didn’t convey much emotion and sounded like robots at times.
The Makeup Girl did start the story I felt very strong. Originally, I was going to give this book a 3.5 but as the story went on to me it just was feeling weird and choppy. Also, the intimate scenes just felt awkward and the story would have been better without them.
With all of that being said The Makeup Girl is getting 2 stars from me with a spice level of one. If you want to give this book a read or listen you can on Amazon as it is part of Audible and Kindle Unlimited. Now my views may not align with yours and this might be a great read for you. I am just telling you my thoughts and views on the book and they are not the end all be all.
**I would like to thank Netgalley for the ARC Copy of this book. Getting the ARC Copy did not influence my thoughts on the book as they are all my own**
