TV Fantasy Goes Mainstream is the first panel and event I attended on Saturday morning of ATX Television Festival 2012. I arrived late due getting a late start that morning and as a result I ended up sitting in the back, which is why there is only audio. Ben Blacker of the Nerdist Writer’s Panel moderated and the panelists consisted of writer/producer/creator Jane Espenson (Once Upon a Time, Torchwood, Husbands, Buffy etc…), creator Jeff Davis (Teen Wolf), writer Ben Edland (Firefly, Supernatural), writer Jose Molina (Firefly, Grimm, Vampire Diaries), and writer Richard Hatem (Grimm). They discussed the resurgence of fantasy in television and how they were drawn to it professionally. Enjoy!
