On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the
11th month we shall remember...
It's Remembrance Sunday this weekend, and to
mark the occasion this week The Daily Constitutional will present a London war
memorial every day. Some of them will be well-known sights to all Londoners,
others more obscure.
At the bottom of each post you will find a
link where you can donate to The Royal British Legion charity.
The Women of World War II
Designed by John W. Mills and unveiled by H.M Queen Elizabeth II in July 2005, this monument recognises the contribution made by women to the war effort during 1939 to 1945. It can be found in Whitehall just a little to the north of The Cenotaph.
