It's Remembrance Sunday this weekend, and to mark the occasion this week The Daily Constitutional will present a London war memorial every day. Some of them will be well-known sights to all Londoners, others more obscure.

The Guards Memorial
The Guards Memorial at St James's Park, just to the west of Horseguards Parade, commemorates the fallen of WWI and the Household Division in WWII. The monument was first unveiled in 1926 and soldiers depicted were modelled on serving Guards of the time, namely: Sergeant R. Bradshaw MM of the Grenadier Guards; Lance Corporal J. S. Richardson of the Coldstream Guards; Guardsman J. McDonald of the Scots Guards; Guardsman Simon McCarthy of the Irish Guards; and Guardsman A. Comley of the Welsh Guards.
