On 23 rd May, 2016, ASUS launched an advanced version of its ZenFone Max. ZenFone Max has gained quick popularity because of its long battery life. The new version of the ZenFone Max maintains the same long battery life but comes with better specifications in terms of processor, internal storage etc.
The new Zenfone Max ZC550KL has 5.5″ TFT LED Backlight (Typ 450 nits), 1280 x 720 HD IPS display. The display is enhanced with ASUS TruVivid technology and is equipped with Bluelight filter that helps in causing less strain on eyes. is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1.5 GHz, Octa-Core Processor. The internal storage of Zenfone Max ZC550KL is 32GB (expandable upto 64GB) and it is available in 2GB/3GB RAM variants. The operating system of the new ZenFone Max is Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 with ZenUI. It has 4G LTE capabilities.
It has 13 Megapixel, f/2.0-aperture rear camera which has ASUS PixelMaster 2.0 technology. For better photos in the dark, it has dual-LED flash. The rear camera is also equipped with the Laser Auto Focus technology that can set focus in 0.03 seconds. The front camera is a 5 Megapixel with f/2.0-aperture and 85̊ wide-viewing angle.
The battery is the highlight of ZenFone Max. It is equipped with 5000mAh, non-removable polymer battery which is capable of even charging other smartphones using an OTG cable. It boasts of being able to provide 914.4 hours of standby time or 37.5 hours of 3G talk time or 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing or 72.9 hours of music playback or 22.6 hours of video playback.
Zenfone Max ZC550KL measures 156*77.5*10.55 and weights 202g and is available in black, orange and blue colour options. Its back cover has a embossed leather feel and it has metal-like edges to add to the style of the device. Its features include various power modes, camera modes and music modes. It is available on Flipkart at the price of Rs.9,999 onwards.
