The long awaited ASUS ZenFone 3 Laser (ZC551KL) is now available in India. Priced at INR 18,999, ZenFone 3 Laser will start selling on Flipkart. By next month, it will also arrive at other leading e-commerce sites, retail stores & ASUS Exclusive Stores across India.
Specifications:
ZenFone 3 Laser has impressive 4GB RAM. That should ensure a swift performance. It is equipped with Snapdragon octa-core 64-bit processor. It has 32GB internal storage (expandable). The battery is 3000 mAh. It's a dualSIM phone.
Camera:
Camera performance was the highlight of the earlier ZenFone Laser smartphone. In ZenFone 3 Laser too, the camera specs sound promising. The rear camera is 13MP PixelMaster 3.0 camera with f/2.0-aperture lens and 0.03 seconds laser auto-focus capability within the range of upto 1.5 meters. ASUS claims that this is twice the distance of other laser focus systems.
Camera features also include electronic image stabilization (EIS) to create blur-free videos and a color correction sensor that automatically adjusts the resulting colours in the photograph.
The front camera is 8MP with f/2.0 aperture and 89˚ wide view angle and HDR / Low Light Selfie modes.
Display:
ZenFone 3 Laser has 5.5-inch, full HD (1920 x 1080) IPS panel display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass with 2.5D contoured edges. It also has 'Bluelight filter.' When activated, this Bluelight Filter, reduces blue light emissions by up to 30%. This helps in reducing eye strain during long sessions of gaming, watching videos or reading books.
Fingerprint Sensor:
It also has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor capable of authentication and unlocking the device in 0.3-seconds. It is capable of registering up to five different fingerprints.
Appearance:
It has a sandblasted aluminum body with rounded sides and diamond-cut chamfered edges. It has 2.58mm bezel and 77% Screen to Body ratio. Its design features also include Zen pattern inspired buttons It is available in Glacier Silver and Sand Gold colours.
ASUS ZenFone 3 has a decent set of specifications. ZenFone devices have good features and user interface too. However, being a mid-price segment smartphone, it will have to run against some very tough competitors. Its predecessor gained much success. It will be interesting to see how ZenFone 3 Laser will perform against the rising competition.
