ASKAWAYFriday with Suzanna at One Hoolie Mama

  1. You cover so many fantastic topics about parenting on your blog – do you have a favorite topic or age group to write about?

I love writing and sharing my knowledge on just about any topic on my blog. I ended up writing mostly toddler stuff because my youngest gives me a ton of ideas for the most part. I do try to vary it up so that I am not posting to the same topic on a daily basis. I wish that I was blogging when I was pregnant with my youngest, it would have been fun to document each week of pregnancy. I didn’t start blogging until after my youngest was born and I returned to work. He was my inspiration to start helping other moms with breastfeeding.

  1. Every age has its ups and downs, obviously, but what has been on of your favorite of your children’s ages or stages?

I love the newborn stage even if it is very demanding. However, I love seeing my kids grow up too. With two teenagers and a preschooler in my house, it can get interesting. I love that the older kids love my youngest son, I was kinda worried about how they would bond. The older kids enjoy playing with him but they don’t care for him getting into their stuff.

  1. What has been the most rewarding perk you’ve received because of your blog?

I love the friendships that I have created through my blog. When I first started blogging full time, I took the time to spend hours on Twitter building relationships with people. This helped me in the very beginning because I had a few people who would regularly share my content. I have found some great tools to help me automate some of the tasks. I wasn’t afraid to reach out to other bloggers and help them out too. Blogging isn’t always about me and I strive to help others as well. I also enter giveaways as I come across them and win some cool prizes.

  1. What is one of your favorite things about living in Texas?

I am living close to my family. Of course, there is a ton of things to do in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
