Ok, this is the last post on the #WebsterArtProject. Last Tuesday was the opening party and it was a huge success. If you don’t know the background, thanks to interior designer Dee Elms of Terrat Elms who suggested me for the project, Mr. Webster and I collaborated on this project at his showroom. I picked the artists and presented available pieces to Mr. Webster, and then he, along with his Visual Design Director Jonathan Giacoletto, chose exactly which ones to feature and where to hang them. We started the last week of August 2015 and by the end of September most of the pieces were installed.
Several pieces have sold since the start, and many more went out for trials in clients’ homes this past week. There are even some commissions brewing. I am so thrilled as are the artists. If you look to the top of this web page, you’ll see I’ve created a new tab—Webster Art Project. There you will find every piece I curated for the exhibition along with sizing. If you are interested in pricing you can email me at [email protected]
You can follow @StyleCarrot on Instagram and the hashtag #WebsterArtProject along with #StyleCarrotCurates. In addition to the Webster pics, there are shots from the art I curated for the model apartment Troy Boston, visits to museums and art sales, artwork at friends and families’ homes, and of course the art in my own house. You’ll also find the artists’ feeds so you can follow them too.
Since not everyone can trek over to the Boston Design Center, here are a sampling of pieces in situ at Webster & Company.
