Today is Rosh Hashanah, the first day of the Jewish New Year. One of the traditions Jews observe is to dip apples into honey to signify the sweetness of a new year. In honor of today, here are 14 apple artworks.
Included are self portraits by two of my favorite Boston photographers (I don’t think either are Jewish), Japanese sculpture, a young Mick Jagger (not Jewish), and more traditional apple still lifes. Shana Tovah!
