Artist Spotlight | Lord Mesa “Low Tech”

Lord Mesa’s “Low Tech” illustration is a funny commentary on how technology has changed through the years.

Artist Spotlight | Lord Mesa “Low Tech”From Walkmans to beepers to flip phones, “Low Tech” has some of the most iconic devices from the 80’s, 90’s, and 2000’s. Carol Danvers has her beeper, Steve Rogers has his flip phone, and Peter Quill has his Walkman. And then you have an overly annoyed Tony Stark in his Iron Man suit losing his cool over what he sees to be a lack of technological prowess.

This illustration made me laugh like no other, probably because I know some people who are still stuck in the tech dark ages and refuse to move on to bigger and better things. And probably because I owned (and still own) some of those devices myself. *cough*Walkman and flip phone*cough*

Do you still own a pager, a flip phone, or a Walkman? Tell us in the comments below!

And don’t forget, we’re still giving away Lord Mesa’s “Couch Potatoes” illustration from ‘To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before’ Oct. 5, so hurry and get your entry in! Winner will be announced Oct. 12.
