Art is Speech

By Rodjonesartist

Thoughts are things… how many thoughts go into a work of art?  How many angels can dance on the head of a pin? Once you give birth to a thought it’s stationed in your brain for as long as you reside here on earth, you may or may not remember what you were thinking at any given time, after all we have according to some, between 30 and 50 thoughts per minute, so as many as 50,000-70,000 per day and unfortunately many thoughts our not very productive. After that I believe those remarkable thoughts, good and bad end up in the Akashic records a compendium of all human events, thoughts, words, emotions, and intent ever to have occurred in the past, present, or future.

What if we tap into that mysterious record to glean ideas? What if you picked up creative thoughts that once belonged to Vincent Van Gogh, Thomas Hart Benton, Jackson Pollock, Georgia O’Keeffe, Raphael, Michelangelo, you choose the one that you like best and please don’t be embarrassed if you pick Thomas Kinkade or Bob Ross they had very fertile minds and arguably some of the best art marketing people that ever lived. Your brain would be filled with brilliant  ideas of what to do next when you stare at an empty canvas with a paintbrush in your hand or there’s a big chunk of marble in front of you, and you have a chisel in your hand, wondering what is hiding in there and so desperately wants you to bring it forth.

Think of the possibilities, usher those negative thoughts where they belong, into the garbage heap of missed opportunities that never will see the light of day, nor should.

Create, create, create… the inspirational ideas are there for you to use,  just tap in, and you will discover that art is filled with beautifully crafted speech, that wants to live again through your thoughts and the works you created. Then you will truly discover “Art is Speech”
