The Missing Persons Investigation Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has taken into custody another suspect in connection with setting fire and damaging the Marandagahamula party office and property of State Minister Indika Anuruddha on Tuesday. The person arrested is 33-year-old T.R.Sampath Sanjeewa, a resident of Pushparama Mawatha, Dunagaha.
Previously, the CID had taken into custody, a former member of the Divulapitiya Pradeshiya Sabha Madhushika Gunasekera (36) and her husband, also a former member of the same Pradeshiya Sabha M.R.K. Alwis (40) regarding this attack and they are currently out on bail.
